Preparation of lithium carbonate from spodumene concentrate was carried out by a sodium carbonate autoclave process. The effects of different operation conditions including liquid-to-solid ratio, Na/Li ratio, agitation speed, reaction temperature and reaction time on the lithium carbonate conversion efficiencies were initially investigated.
The method of extracting lithium values from spodumene ores, which comprises heating the ore above about 1000 C. but below the fusion temperature thereof to convert the alpha-spodumene of the ore to beta-spodumene, mixing the beta-spodumene ore so formed with strong sulfuric acid to produce a substantially dry mixture of ore and

Lithium Minerals Processing Lithium mineral concentrates consumed, e.g. in the glass industry or as a pre-product for the production of lithium carbonate, are traded at lithium contents of 5.00 wt% or 7.25 wt% Li 2 O depending upon the application.
ASX ANNOUNCEMENT The Sileach ... Independent laboratory tests of the Sileach™ process has achieved lithium extractions, from alpha spodumene, of up to 92% in 4 hours. IMPLICATIONS The Sileach™ process has the potential to release the value from stranded lithium silicate deposits – those deposits quarantined by sub-economic
AMG can recover lithium-bearing materials from the existing and future tailings at its profitable tantalum operations at Mibra, with the ore extraction and crushing costs absorbed by the Tantalum operations. AMG has successfully operated a lithium pilot plant since 2010, with more than 2.8 million tons of spodumene feed stock having
